The Sustainable Energy Finance Association Welcomes New Member: Greek Network “Sustainable City”
Brussels, 23 January 2025 – The Sustainable Energy Finance Association (SEFA) is proud to announce that the Sustainable City Network has officially joined as a member, marking a significant step in advancing sustainable energy initiatives across Greece. This membership enables the Sustainable City Network to tap into SEFA’s extensive ecosystem of resources, expertise, and opportunities, including tailored financial tools, investor matchmaking, and project aggregation services to mobilize funding for large-scale sustainable energy projects. Furthermore, SEFA’s capacity-building programs and policy advocacy initiatives will empower the Greek Network to strengthen its technical and financial capabilities, accelerating the financing and implementation of impactful projects that will drive Greek cities closer to climate neutrality by 2030.

In addition to this partnership, SEFA and the Sustainable City Network are excited to collaborate on the groundbreaking CROSSFIT project, which seeks to transform the way energy efficiency projects are managed in the public sector by introducing a one-stop-shop approach. This initiative simplifies procurement complexities, centralizes tender procedures at municipal, regional, and national levels, and actively engages the private financial community. SEFA will play a pivotal role in scaling the results of CROSSFIT across Europe by leveraging its financial networks and expertise.
